ERASING
Dream Meaning
To erase in a dream is to wish the past were as malleable as a pencil mark — removable, correctable, cleanable without residue. This image surfaces when guilt, regret, or the wish to rewrite a specific chapter of your life has become urgent enough to enter your dreaming world.
The desire itself is deeply human and deserves compassion rather than judgment. But the dream also carries the wisdom that erasure is never truly complete: the paper retains the impression of what was written, the surface shows where something once was.
Rather than trying to obliterate what has been, the more fruitful work may be learning to write something new in the same space — not replacing the past, but continuing beyond it with greater awareness and self-forgiveness.
