Dream Meaning

The ritual violence of an exorcism dream is the psyche's most dramatic metaphor for psychological cleansing — something has taken up residence inside you that does not belong there, and the dream insists it must be expelled. This 'possession' is rarely supernatural in its real referent; more often it describes the grip of an old trauma, a corrosive belief inherited from someone who had no right to give it to you, or a toxic relationship whose influence lingers long after the connection has ended.

The exorcism does not ask you to be afraid of what is being removed — it asks you to participate actively in your own liberation, to name what has occupied you and refuse it shelter.
