OSTRICH

Dream Meaning

The ostrich carries one of the most psychologically precise reputations in the animal kingdom — the creature that buries its head in the sand, choosing not-knowing over the discomfort of reality. When it appears in a dream with head buried, it is holding up a mirror to your own avoidance, inviting you to acknowledge a situation or truth you have been deliberately refusing to see.

There is no shame in this recognition; avoidance is a deeply human response to overwhelm. But the dream is suggesting that the time for looking away may be passing.

An ostrich running impulsively, by contrast, reflects reactive behavior — decisions made in panic or haste rather than in the steadiness of clear-eyed consideration. Both images share an invitation: stop, look, and then choose deliberately.
