Dream Meaning

To find wings upon your back in a dream is one of the oldest and most electrifying gifts the unconscious can bestow, and yet the emotion accompanying them matters enormously. Wings that feel natural and powerful suggest that your sense of self has grown beyond its former constraints, that you are ready for a freedom you may not have dared to claim in waking life.

But when wings emerge alongside a sense of desperation or longing to escape, they reveal something more conflicted: an ambition that is partly a flight from something rather than a genuine soaring toward something. The dream asks you to examine the destination you are imagining.

Liberation chosen consciously is transformative; liberation as escape can simply carry your problems to a higher altitude.
